Jim’s Words

Poetry and Math

without comments

I was born poetry -
You were born math.
I was never much good at math;
You claimed you didn’t write poems.

We were both wrong.

We were blind -
I to the beautiful symmetry of math,
You to the logical sensibility of poetry.

Poetry and math are not strangers,
But siblings.
